Malabrigo Mechita Valentina 369 Superwash Merino Wool Soft Single Ply Fingering Yarn Shawl

Malabrigo Mechita - Valentina (369)

A fingering weight version of Malabrigo's beloved Mecha, Mechita is a beautifully soft, single-ply superwash merino yarn crafted for lighter garments and delicate accessories. Known for its incredible softness, vivid color absorption, and crisp stitch definition, Mechita is an exceptional choice for shawls, scarves, lace, cables, textured stitches, and lightweight garments. It is also an ideal selection for the Malabrigo KAL featuring the Long Journey Shawl and the Clover Leaves Poncho from Book 17 (requires 2 hanks for XS/S, 3 hanks for M/L).

Hand-dyed in small artisan batches of five, Valentina (369) features a romantic, kettle-dyed tonal blend of soft blush, warm rosy pinks, and gentle crimson highlights, bringing graceful warmth and color depth to every stitch.

A Note on Unique Craftsmanship & Media:
Original photos display the exact hanks available in stock. Mechita’s single-ply construction yields extraordinary softness and rich dye depth for lace, textured stitches, and shawls. Because Mechita is hand-dyed without formal dye lots, individual hanks naturally vary. For multi-hank projects, alternating working hanks every few rows is recommended to ensure a seamless color blend.
