Artyarns November color way is based on a photo from the Borrego Badlands, a beautiful region of Southern California which was once undersea, and includes a maze of hills and arroyos. We tried to capture the deep moody flavor of the area, ending up with quite a mysterious deep and rich color way. You’ll see hints of greenish brown, rust, gold, grey blue, and purple in this cohesive color that is so much fun to knit.

Borrego Badlands Shawl
Materials:
1 skein Artyarns merino cloud
Optional: 1 skein of Artyarns Beaded Silk and Sequins
(both yarns shown in the Borrego Badlands Inspiration color way)
Needle: Circular needle Size 8 US –5 mm or size to obtain gauge
Size: 72" wide and 25" deep at the widest point after blocking
Gauge: 4 sts and 7 rows = 1" ” in stockinette
Tools: Stitch markers, Blocking t-pins, Tapestry Needle, Soak wool wash for blocking, Blocking mat

KNIT ALONG - Shawl Photo 8 or Sleeveless Top Pattern with minimum yarn order. If interested ask.
Materials:
Shawl: minimum of 2 skeins of Merino Cloud, 1 skein each in 2 colors (2 sks total)
Sleeveless Size Small Top (shown): minimum of 2 skeins of Merino Cloud, 1 skein each in 2 colors (2 sks total). Adding sleeves or working larger sizes (through 48″) will require either 2-1/2 skeins of Merino Cloud or 1 Merino Cloud Fade Kit, and 1-2 sks of contrast solid color. Sizes 50-54″ will require 3 skeins of each of 2 colors (6 sks total).
